Can sleeping in a bouncer instead of a binet be bad for a newborn?

I have a 1 week old daughter that just cannot (or will not) sleep in her binet. She only wants to sleep in either my arms or her bouncer. I've even waited until she was in a deep sleep to try putting her in the binet, but within minutes she can tell where she is and will wake up crying until we pick her up. I'm a first time parent, so I probably give in a little quicker than other parents, I can't help myself! Does anyone know if sleeping in a bouncer for prolonged periods can be bad for a newborn?
