Why are most Christians condescending of other beliefs or lack thereof?

As a Christian, I have encountered this myself. I am not a "good enough Christian or person" by their standards and they even tell me I am going to Hell, because I don't 100% believe what they believe. Truth is they are hypocrites and liars and are no better than me or anyone else, and they make a fool of the religion. That's why I don't go to church!!
