Was Martin Luther King Jr better than Malcolm X at criticizing American Imperialism?

As opposed to the sweet gentle state of affairs under Saddam Hussein? We don't really want to be watchdog of the world, you know, but no one else wants the job. As far as Malcolm he said defend yourself and your own. Martin said protest injustice, but do not lift your hand in anger, kind of what Gandhi said. This is why we're off Monday but not on Malcolm's birthday. When is it anyway?
