Cute bunnys do they get on?

I just got a cute little boy rabbit yesterday and called him sir herman peter the duke of Edinburgh.I got him to go with charlotte my 2 year old bunny who has been alone for quite a while now. herman is 8 weeks old the person in the shop said he could mate though is this correct? and also they don't seem to get on he jumped over the separater, got into her hutch and mesed it up she seemed scared he also ate her food and seemed to annoyy her a lot and stuff is in her pen he is not ment to eat yet e.g gr, leaves. wat should i do?
